Hello,I came across your website while trying to find out more about my grandmother's brother. He was a German officer and stationed at the waterplane airbase near Thisted from approx. 1940-1942. I have more than

50 photographs that were (most likely) taken at or near the airbase. I thought you might be interested in these photos. I have just uploaded the photos to "Wesendit". I have also included a table showing the German note (if any) made on the back of the photo and an English translation.

I would make the photos available to you for use without any limitations. I do not know who actually took the photographs. I - as a layperson - understand that in Germany the copyright expires after 70 years after the death of the person who took the picture. If the person is not known, it expires 70 years after it was taken.  As the photos definitely date back to the 1940s, we should be on the safe side in this respect. I would very much appreciate to hear from you whether these photos are of any interest to you.
